The Release of 60 mm Square and 80 mm Square Counter Rotating Fans Featuring the Largest Air Flow and Highest Static Pressure Capabilities in the Industry
Sanyo Denki Co., Ltd. has developed counter rotating fans measuring 60 mm square and 80 mm square.
Designed for use with servers, storage systems, communications equipment and various types of industrial machinery, the new models will be available from March 28, 2007.
The fans feature the largest air flow and highest static pressure capabilities in the industry.

Features
1.Large air flow and high static pressure
The newly developed blades and frame improve the performance of the new S speed products compared to the two serial units from our conventional products *Note 1 as follows:
60 mm square x 76 mm thick
Maximum airflow: increased by approx. 20%
Maximum static pressure: about the same as before
80 mm square x 80 mm thick
Maximum airflow: increased by approx. 68%
Maximum static pressure: increased by approx. 73%
2.This is the industry’s first counter rotating fan measuring 80 mm square * 80mm thick.

Applications
These products are specifically designed for use in servers, storage systems,
communications equipment, power sources and industrial equipment.
*What is the counter rotating Fan?
Two fans that rotate in counterclockwise directions are placed in the same axial core in front and back, so that the characteristics of airflow and static pressure can be improved. This method is called the counter rotating method, and we call a fan that uses this method a Counter Rotating Fan.

Our conventional product is the DC cooling fan of the same size, which has the largest air flow and highest static pressure capabilities:
60 mm square model: 60 mm square × 38 mm thick fan (9G0612G102)
80 mm square model: 80 mm square × 38 mm thick fan (9G0812G102)
