2006.8.2
Sanyo Denki Co., Ltd. has developed the CPU cooler "SAN ACE MC" thermal module for the Intel® Xeon® 771-land LGA package.
This product became available August 2, 2006.
The cooling fan and heat sink were completely redesigned for achieving high cooling performance.
The thermal resistance at a rated speed of 6,300 min-1 is 0.229 K/W, and the sound pressure level is 55 dB (A).
The SAN ACE MC features a thermally speed control function (enables rotational speed control according to the temperature) and a PWM control function (enables external control of the fan rotational speed).
These functions reduce device power consumption and noise.

What is the θc-a thermal resistance?
This indicates how many degrees (K) temperature increases on the CPU surface can be restrained based on the heat dissipation per watt. Smaller values indicate higher cooling performance. The units are K/W (Kelvin per Watt).
