SANYO DENKI CO., LTD.is pleased to announce the development of the San Ace 40 CRA type, a counter rotating DC fan for cooling applications. This product, slated for release on September 15, 2005, offers the industry’s highest airflow, highest static pressure, and lowest noise. It is ideal for use in servers, storage systems, communications equipment, power sources, and industrial equipment.
Features
1. Highest airflow, highest static pressure, and lowest noise in the industry
The newly designed blades and frame improve the maximum airflow 28% and maximum static pressure 26%, compared with our conventional product*1. The result is a maximum airflow of 0.9m3/min and a maximum static pressure of 570Pa, yet with noise kept to just 62dB(A) (J speed product). This gives the San Ace 40 the best airflow, static pressure and noise performance in the industry*.
2. Energy saving specifications
Thanks to the newly designed motor, power consumption is reduced approximately 40% compared with our conventional product*1 under the same airflow conditions (G speed product: maximum airflow of 0.7m3/min.)
3. Unique and Flexible Optional Features
A PWM control function for controlling the rotational speed of the fan from the unit can be added. This product can be set to the minimum rotational speed, so it is effective in reducing unit power consumption and noise (G speed product only.)
What is the Counter Rotating Fan?
Two fans that rotate in counterclockwise directions are placed in the same axial core in front and back, so that the characteristics of airflow and static pressure can be improved. This method is called the counter rotating method, and we call a fan that uses this method a Counter Rotating Fan.
